Two Weeks in North Sulawesi, Indonesia!

September 18-29, 2018

October 2019 Update:  We just got back from one of our best dive trips ever.  Bunaken Oasis Diver Resort is second to none in the luxury and customer service they provide to their guests and Kungkungan Bay Resort provided the dives of a lifetime.  We would highly recommend either resort and if you are curious or planning a trip of your own to either of these locations, feel free to contact Rachel with your questions.

First Stop:  Bunaken Oasis Dive Resort & Spa

Kungkungan Bay Resort

We visited this magnificent resort back in 2009 and the variety of magical critters that appeared from the muck filled up Rachel's logbook pages every day.  One dive worth of critter sightings here was equal to a week at other places in the world!

Both of these resorts have 4:1 diver to guide ratios!

Here's the lowdown on pricing:

The variation in trip pricing is based on the different room categories at this resort, so you can visit their site, take a look at the room choices and then determine what you want to do. At the time of this posting (Sept. 6, 2017), all room types are available to us.  Also, we got to look at all the rooms last time we visited and can tell you that we would be happy to stay in any one of them.  If you are thinking of rooming with someone who isn't your significant other, the Traditional Houses are probably your best choice here.

  • Excursions - totally worth doing!

Ready to make it happen?  Of course you know we're doing this through Lori as always, but here are some of the terms as we know them:

  • Terms for reservations: $600 deposit per person, These deposits are nonrefundable/nontransferable and are required to confirm your space.  By the way folks, if you have any questions about what nonrefundable means, please feel free to ask! I have read all of the terms and conditions for both resorts and the minute we send them the deposits, that money is gone.  Final payments won't be required until much closer to the trip.

Ready to book it and/or have more questions? E-mail Lori Evans or give her a call at (808)270-3021.  She will then provide you with payment details and specific terms for this trip.  Thinking of joining us from the mainland? Lori can help you with those travel arrangements as well!

Miscellaneous Notes

A valid passport is required for travel to the Indonesia. They require that we have a full blank passport page to do their business on, so check your books!

All spaces are booked on a first come first served basis, so book early or you just might be sitting at home while the rest of us are muck diving and getting awesome photos.  This trip maxes out at 16 spaces.

Prices are per person based on double occupancy.

Trip insurance is highly recommended.

DAN Accident Insurance and DAN Travel Insurance: They’re the two things no intelligent diver would ever dream of traveling without. The good news is, if you don’t have these two pieces of valuable protection, you can sign up right now, online:
