Prerequisites for the IDC/IE

• Minimum of 6 months certified Open Water Diver
• PADI Divemaster Certification (or equivalent)
• Be at least 18 years old
• Copies of all non-PADI certification cards
• CPR and First Aid certification within the previous 2 years of IE date
• Care for Children EFR certification (Necessary for EFR Instructor. Arrangements can be made for certification for a minimal charge during the IDC.)
• Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement signed by a physician for a diving medical examination conducted within the 12 months prior to the IE
• Completion of all 16 IDC Knowledge Reviews
• 60 logged dives, including experience in deep, night and navigation diving, by the start of the IDC
• 100 logged dives by the start of the IE
