I LOVED the recent night dive that Katherine took me on. It was my first experience diving @ night. Although, at first I felt a little spooky, she spent alot of time briefing me, telling me what I might expect...in other words, helped me get the most out of my night dive, and lessen my fears. I would definatley recommend Katherine to escort me again. My husband and I have dove with Maui Dreams each time we come to Maui, and I find them to be very personable...thanks!

Maui Dreams is an awesome diving company!!! My husband and I got our open water certifications and loved every minute of our training. Our instructor, Jay, was super patient and really knew how to make us feel comfortable. He even took the time to search the ocean floor when my husband lost his wedding ring! We learned a lot and had a ton of fun at the same time. Thanks Jay for being such an amazing instructor! We can't wait to dive again:)

We were on a family vacation to Maui and we scheduled an intro dive with your company, Wow is all we can say it was one of the highlights of our Hawaiian vacation. We went on an intro dive Dec 22, 2009, Don, Pete, Gabe and Jenny were so patient and helpful we just had a blast. Thanks to Captain Don for the additional whale watching we were also treated to. Hey sorry this is so late but I just wanted to say that my brother, sister and I all had a blast diving with Paul over the holidays while getting both our Open Water and Advaced Open Water Certs. Thanks for teaching us and always making it fun, including all the South Park and Family Guy quotes which were always being said outside the water!!! Thanks again for an awesome Christmas vacation!!! Aloha Maui Dreams! Once again we had more fun than should be allowed when diving!! And just hanging around the store with everyone talking about diving continued the enjoyment. We dove with both Jim and Charlie this trip and we had a great time on each of our dives. Seeing the 7' manta ray while diving with Jim was incredible - and seeing the sea turtles swim by while diving with Charlie was great too. Both Jim and Charley are professional, knowledgeable and funny! We also want to let you know we were very happy to earn our Master Scuba Diver certification through Maui Dreams. It's nice to be associated with such a great group. Mahalo, we look forward to our next visit and future dives with you!

I did my open water certification with Maui Dreams this week. There are lots of options on the Islands and plenty on Maui, so I did my research. These guys are local, highly professional, fun, fair and desserve your business. The prices are about the same all over for the certification, so service is everything. We had a small group of 3, including myself, as students. Jay was our instructor. He was really patient...not just with our skill development, but also with our joking around and having fun too. Which brings me to the subject of safety. These guys go out of their way to make sure the instruction they give leaves you confident in your abilities and well prepared to be safe divers. They are a 5 star PADI dive instructor center, I believe the only one on the Island. What that means is that they have a person that teaches and certifies other instructors. That's pretty rare and gives you an indication of the quality of instruction coming out of this shop.

We just finished our first night dive with Cathrine. She was the perfect divemaster for a first night dive. Her enthusiasim for night diving was contagious. Jody was initially nervous but Cathrines knowledge and calm attitude put everyone at ease. There were four in our group and all night dive virgins. We saw lots of fantastic invertibrates; crabs, eel, octopus, nudibranchs and the elusive harlequin shrimp.
Thanks to all the MDD crew, we will return to dive with you again.

Bruce Hope here. I was in several times from the end of October through to mid-November & bought a Cobra II computer interface from you. I promised that I would harass you when I set it up since you apparently just like the look of yours in the box, so here’s your harassment as promised. It works really well & sure makes keeping a dive log easy! Maybe you should consider hooking it up?

Thanks to you & all the staff at the shop & on the boat for making my trip a very fond memory. I’ll be sure to use you folks on my next trip down (still discussing that with my bank account!) & I’ve recommended you to several divers up here.

Thanks to Katherine for the awesome night dive last week at Ulua. The octopi were out in force,including a loco one that seemed to have a balance problem. The large sponge crab and giant triton were the other stars of the night shift. Katherine found us everything in her briefing, so you guys need to give her a raise! Katherine, next time could you brief us a Manta and White-Tip?

An unforgiving schedule prevents me from appearing in person to share my experience of calling the shop earlier this week. I know about a year or so ago, Paul was trying to get his arms around the intricacies of good telephone manners and was undergoing some intense remedial training. From my conversation with him the other day, I can tell Paul has set a new standard. It was a pleasure to call and have him answer the telephone...he rolled out the red carpet and made me feel as though we were long-time buddies! His demeanor was professional, yet he exhibited enthusiasm coupled with a contagious sense of humor. So Paul, keep up the great work, your phone manners are exemplary and you're an ambassador for MDDC!

Wow! What a fabulous trip aboard the Maui Diamond 2 on Sun. Dec. 13, 2009. Capt. Don did great maneuvers to make sure we could all see several humpback whales on our way to Molokini Crater, and bottle nose dolphin on our way home. Our dive guide Gabe led us all the way around the back wall where the viz was at least 100 ft. We saw a variety of fish endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. Several large schools of pennant fish, pyramid butterfly fish, 3 white tip sharks, a dragon nudrabranch, octopus, and 3 huge ridgeback slipper lobsters. The entire crew was very safety conscious, knowledgeable about the site and marine life, acted professional, yet had a great sense of humor as well! Thanks to Jay,SMAC, Jenny Wu and the entire crew for providing us with a fantastic dive trip! We had a blast and will highly recommend Maui Dreams Dive Company and the Maui Diamond 2 Crew to our friends and other dive enthusiasts. Mahalo to all! Happy, Healthy, Holidays!

I just wanted to thank EVERYONE at Maui Dreams! You went out of your way to get my husband & I certified with our very limited time constraints. The all night study session was well worth it! Paul is an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING instructor & we couldnt have asked for a better experience. He is so knowledgable, friendly & just flat out fun! We are so hooked now that we are already planning on when we can come back to Maui (hopefully in 2 months!) to take get our Advance Open Water Certification even though we live in Kauai. Thanks for the GREAT time and we look forward to many more with you!!!

Our experience with Jay was exceptional!! My wife and I got an open water certification in our home state of Indiana. We went directly into doing an advanced open water cert with Maui Dreams after just one previous open water dive. The instructor Maui Dreams provided, Jay, was incredible! I highly recommend going straight from open water to advanced open water so that you are familiar with the general concepts.

Just wanted to say a big Mahalo to Maui Dreams Dive Co. for some great dives and their wonderful customer service. I did a night dive with Katherine last week and she provided an excellent dive briefing, was a very safe dive master, while helping us to find night critters with great enthusiasm. I also appreciated Teri's help in getting my friend feeling comfortable with diving again after a 10 year break. I just came back from diving the outer wall of Molikini (where we saw a plethora of sharks)and I still have a sore stomach from laughing at all of Don's jokes on the way home! I'll definitely be back for more fun.

Maui Dreams is a great dive company! On very short notice, I was able to arrange for a couple guided dives. Just for me.

Katherine obviously loves what she does, because she's an excellent guide. I said I'd like to see a manta ray, and she found me a manta ray! She also pointed out many other interests of the reef that I might have missed. What's more, she showed an extraordinary level of respect for the sea life around us, getting us close enough to watch these creatures, but not intruding.

Since I'm still relatively new to diving, her personalized guidance and advice was really awesome. Thanks again!

Finally, their rental equipment is in amazing condition. BC with integrated weights, as opposed to weight belts. This was the first time I've ever worn a rental wet suit that I didn't smell on me for the next twenty four hours. I honestly thought it was brand new!

Next time I'm on the island, Maui Dreams will be the first place I call.
