Instructor Development Courses

Prerequisites for the Instructor Development Course (IDC) / Instructor Exam (IE)

Minimum of 6 months certified Open Water Diver
PADI Divemaster Certification (or equivalent)
Be at least 18 years old
Copies of all non-PADI certification cards
CPR and First Aid certification within the previous 2 years of IE date
Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the 12 months prior to the IE
Completion of all 9 PADI eLearning presentations online.
60 logged dives, including experience in deep, night and navigation, by the start of the IDC
100 logged dives by the start of the IE
