Successful completion of this class will earn you an international scuba certification that never expires, and the admiration of your friends and family - in only 3 days. All academic work is completed at your own pace, on your own time. Once you finish the academics, we arrange the diving schedule and once you start, all we have to do is dive, dive and dive! This class is comprised of "hands on" experience applying in the water what you learned in your online multimedia academics.
This program works very well for vacationers as well as local Mauians. For vacationers, it has the advantage of reducing the amount of time spent out of the water... for locals, it allows you to schedule your diving days for the mornings and still have time to go to work in the afternoon and evening.
What is eLearning?
eLearning is the newest way to get started on your scuba certification. Anywhere you've got access to the Internet, you will have access to your "class". You can start right now!
With the eLearning system, you complete your "bookwork" and exams online, anytime you like. Then we take you diving! And though you'll be completing your academics online, we'll still be there for you via email or phone. When you have questions, they'll be answered daily by one of our instructors. Once you're ready to begin your in-water training, you'll just print out your eLearning records, and call us up to schedule your dives! We can even take you on your first dive before you've completed your course work.
What are the advantages of eLearning?
Convenience, convenience, convenience! PADI's eLearning option gives you the opportunity to study the material at your own pace whenever you want to, whether you're traveling, sitting at home, or maybe even while you're at work (on your lunch break, that is)! You will have access to your online class from any computer.
No time in the classroom means that the time you spend with your instructor will be in the water, where you'll be learning to dive! If you're visiting Maui, no time in the classroom means more time for other activities or just more time to lounge on the beach. The regular class format would require us to return to the classroom for academic sessions all afternoon, but not if you've chosen the eLearning method; now your afternoons are free. If you live here, we know work schedules can be hectic. In the past, some folks have had to take time off work to complete their certifications. If you complete you academics online, we'll be finished with our dives between noon and 1:PM each day! Now, that's our kind of class!
What is the cost?
The total cost is $469. The eLearning portion of the class is $120 and is paid directly to PADI when you sign up. This fee gives you access to the eLearning system for one year (but we know you won't want to wait that long!) and access to your online manual (with video clips) forever.
The diving portion of the course is 349 and continues to include three days of shore diving, all rental gear, logbook, recreational dive planner, certification photo and certification card.
