Private Photography Workshop
For those interested in taking underwater photography beyond bringing snapshots back to show friends, Maui Dreams has teamed up with local, award winning, underwater photographer Mike Roberts, to offer an exclusive private underwater photography workshop.
The beauty of a private workshop is that it is tailored to meet your personal goals in underwater photography. Whether you are brand new at underwater photography or a seasoned pro moving from film to digital, the personal attention offered is guaranteed to move you down the road to better images and understanding of the subject.
Mike’s description of his workshop:
The Private Workshop is a simple concept. You and I spend a little time evaluating where you are at in terms of underwater digital photography and the rest of the time working on improving it. Any topics listed in the other workshops are possible. Choose as many days as you would like and we will work about 5-6 hours a day. We may do one or two dives, or we may stay in the classroom for the whole session*. It just depends on what we want to accomplish. We will make the decision together. We can work with the latest version of Photoshop Elements or Photoshop CSx, whatever you want.
Possible areas covered include but are certainly not limited to photography basics, advanced techniques, composition, RAW files, strobe techniques, digital workflow, Photoshop basics, Photoshop tricks, white balancing, safety, underwater lighting, compact vs dSLR, equipment care and maintenance.
If you do not already have the PADI Digital Underwater Specialty and would like to have the certification, this can be included in the workshop. This includes level 1 and 2 and will count toward your PADI Master Scuba Diver certification.
